When adding a Source-Nexus plug-in to the Send channel for a track, Logic Pro may display the following error message:

This issue has been resolved in Source-Nexus Review version 1.6.0 and later. Source-Nexus I/O may still encounter this issue in some configurations.

If you encounter this issue with Source-Nexus I/O, the current workaround is to install version 1.5.0.

These plug-in files are provided as-is and are not notarized. On macOS, manually move the extracted plug-in file to the appropriate plug-in directory. For the Audio Unit plug-in, move Source-Nexus.component to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. Then bypass the Apple security warning using one of the following methods:

1. After attempting to load the plug-in in your DAW, allow it in System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General.
2. Right-click the plug-in file and select Open.
3. Remove its quarantine attribute in Terminal:

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine <path to plugin>

When to use Rosetta

On Macs with Apple silicon, install Rosetta if you are using an Intel-only version of Source-Nexus I/O. In most cases, Logic Pro can continue running natively.

Only select Open using Rosetta for Logic Pro if Source Elements Support confirms that your specific plug-in or workflow requires Logic Pro to run in Intel mode. Do not use this option on Intel Macs.

Then, try adding the plug-in into the Send channel again.

"Avoid feedback" error message

If you do not get any signal in your plug-in, make sure you have chosen the right speakers and microphone. If you see the following error, make sure you choose the right audio device. Clicking “Ignore” will prevent any signal from coming in.
